PartyPoker.com Latin American Poker Grand Final Promotion - Terms & Conditions (the "Terms")

  1. You agree that by taking part in the PartyPoker “Latin American Poker Grand Final” promotion (the “Promotion”), that you will be bound by these Terms and Conditions as well as our Terms and Conditions of Use (collectively the “Rules”).
  2. To be eligible to take part in the Promotion you must:
    1. be eighteen (18) years of age or older or the legal age of majority in your home country, state or province;
    2. have successfully completed registration on the Gaming Service and opened a Real Money Player Account; and must
    3. be a resident of and located in the Promotional Territory.
    (any player who meets this criteria shall be deemed a “Qualifying Player”)
  3. In order to open a “Real Money Player Account” players must register for a player account on the Gaming Service and deposit a minimum of twenty-five United States Dollars (US $25).
  4. Strictly no third party entries.
  5. The “Tournaments” shall singularly and collectively mean the $40 Freeroll, the LatAm Qualifier Speed, the LatAM Sub Qualifier Speed Rebuy, the LatAm Sub Qualifier Speed, the LatAm Qualifier, LatAm Sub Qualifier Speed II, the LatAm Satellite, the $60 Freeroll and the LatAm Sub Qualifier Speed Rebuy II.
  6. The Tournaments are all a game of No-Limit Texas Hold'em.
  7. For the avoidance of doubt for the term “Freeroll” shall mean that there shall be no cost of entering into a Freeroll tournament for anyone who is already a Qualifying Player.
  8. The “$40 Freeroll” shall mean the Latin American Freeroll Qualifier Speed ($40 Freeroll) which shall take place every daily at 14:30 HRS ET from 03/11/07 until 25/11/07.
    1. Entry is strictly limited to three thousand (3,000) Qualifying Players allocated on a first come, first served basis and seats are strictly non-transferable.
    2. There is no cost to buy-in to the tournament.
    3. The following prizes shall be awarded to the top ranking Qualifying Players of each $40 Freeroll:
      1. the first (1st) to fifth (5th) ranking Qualifying Players will receive a seat into the Next Available LatAm Sub Qualifier Speed; and
      2. the sixth (6th) to twenty-fifth (25th) ranking Qualifying Players will receive a seat into the Next Available LatAM Sub Qualifier Speed Rebuy.
  9. The “LatAm Qualifier Speed” shall mean the Latin America Qualifier Speed which shall take place every Sunday at 16:10 HRS ET on Sunday 11 November 2007 and Sunday 25 November 2007.
    1. Entry is strictly limited to three thousand (3,000) Qualifying Players allocated on a first come, first served basis and seats are strictly non-transferable.
    2. The buy-in for the tournament will be thirty-five United States Dollar (US $35.00).
    3. For every ten (10) Qualifying Players that take part in each LatAm Qualifier Speed, one (1) seat in the Next Available LatAm Satellite (each a “Satellite Seat”) will be awarded. Notwithstanding the foregoing a minimum of two (2) Satellite Seats will be awarded.
  10. The “LatAM Sub Qualifier Speed Rebuy” shall mean the Latin America Sub Qualifier Speed Rebuy which shall take place daily at 15:50 HRS ET from 03/11/07 until 25/11/07.
    1. Entry is strictly limited to three thousand (3,000) Qualifying Players allocated on a first come, first served basis and seats are strictly non-transferable.
    2. The buy-in for the tournament will be one United States Dollar (US $1.00).
    3. For every thirty-five United States Dollars (US $35.00) in the prize pool, one (1) seat in the Next Available LatAm Qualifier (each a “Qualifier Seat”) will be awarded.
  11. The “LatAm Sub Qualifier Speed” shall mean the Latin America Sub Qualifier Speed which shall take place every daily at 16:50 HRS ET from 05/11/07 until 25/11/07.
    1. Entry is strictly limited to three thousand (3,000) Qualifying Players allocated on a first come, first served basis and seats are strictly non-transferable.
    2. The buy-in for the tournament will be four United States Dollar (US $4.00).
    3. For every ten (10) Qualifying Players that take part in each LatAm Sub Qualifier Speed, one (1) Qualifier Seat will be awarded.
  12. The “LatAm Qualifier” shall mean the Latin America Qualifier which shall take place every Wednesday and Friday at 18:10 HRS ET from 07/11/07 until 23/11/07.
    1. Entry is strictly limited to three thousand (3,000) Qualifying Players allocated on a first come, first served basis and seats are strictly non-transferable.
    2. The buy-in for the tournament will be thirty-five United States Dollar (US $35.00).
    3. For every ten (10) Qualifying Players that take part in each LatAm Qualifier, one (1) Satellite Seat will be awarded. Notwithstanding the foregoing a minimum of two (2) Satellite Seats will be awarded.
  13. The “LatAm Sub Qualifier Speed II” shall mean the Latin America Sub Qualifier Speed which shall take place every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 18:10 HRS ET from 05/11/07 until 24/11/07.
    1. Entry is strictly limited to three thousand (3,000) Qualifying Players allocated on a first come, first served basis and seats are strictly non-transferable.
    2. The buy-in for the tournament will be four United States Dollar (US $4.00).
    3. For every ten (10) Qualifying Players that take part in each LatAm Sub Qualifier Speed II, one (1) Qualifier Seat will be awarded.
  14. The “LatAm Satellite” shall mean the Latin American Poker Championships Satellite which shall take place every Sunday at 18:10 HRS ET on Sunday 11 November 2007 and Sunday 25 November 2007.
    1. Entry is strictly limited to three thousand (3,000) Qualifying Players allocated on a first come, first served basis and seats are strictly non-transferable.
    2. The buy-in for the tournament will be three hundred and twenty United States Dollars (US $320.00).
    3. For every fifteen (15) Qualifying Players that take part in each LatAm Satellite, one (1) Tournament Package will be awarded. Notwithstanding the foregoing a minimum of one (1) Tournament Package will be awarded.
  15. The “$60 Freeroll” shall mean the Latin American Freeroll Speed ($60 Freeroll) which shall take place daily at 18:50 HRS ET from 03/11/07 until 25/11/07.
    1. Entry is strictly limited to three thousand (3,000) Qualifying Players allocated on a first come, first served basis and seats are strictly non-transferable.
    2. There is no cost to buy-in to the tournament.
    3. The following prizes shall be awarded to the top ranking Qualifying Players of each $60 Freeroll:
      1. (i) the first (1st) to tenth (10th) ranking Qualifying Players will receive a seat into the Next Available LatAm Sub Qualifier Speed; and
      2. (ii) the eleventh (11th) to thirtieth (30th) ranking Qualifying Players will receive a seat into the Next Available LatAM Sub Qualifier Speed Rebuy.
  16. The “LatAm Sub Qualifier Speed Rebuy II” shall mean the Latin American Sub Qualifier Speed Rebuy which shall take place daily at 19:50 HRS ET from 03/11/07 until 25/11/07.
    1. Entry is strictly limited to three thousand (3,000) Qualifying Players allocated on a first come, first served basis and seats are strictly non-transferable.
    2. The buy-in for the tournament will be one United States Dollars (US $1.00).
    3. For every thirty-five United States Dollars (US $35.00) in the prize pool, one (1) Qualifier Seat will be awarded.
  17. “Next Available” means where a Qualifying Player wins a prize entry into a particular tournament, they shall be automatically registered into the next immediately available tournament. For the avoidance of doubt the date of a prize tournament entry cannot be transferred and accordingly if a Qualifying Player fails to participate in the next available tournament then their prize will be forfeited.
  18. A “Tournament Package” shall comprise: (i) five (5) nights pre-paid accommodation at the Barradas Hotel, Playa Mansa Punta Del Este, Uruguay (“Accommodation”); (ii) the two thousand, five hundred United States Dollars (US $2,500.00) buy-in for the Event (the “Buy-In”); (iii) a two thousand, five hundred United States Dollars re-buy allowance (the “Re-Buy Allowance”) and (iii) spending money of one thousand, seven hundred and fifty United States Dollars (US $1,750.00) (“Spending Money”).
  19. The “Event” means the re-buy poker tournament taking place in the casino of the Conrad Hotel in Punta del Este, Uruguay on December 6-9 2007
  20. You may only win a maximum of one (1) Tournament Package.
  21. Spending Money and the Re-Buy Allowance will be paid into Qualifying Player's Real Money Player Account within five (5) working days of receipt by us of the correctly completed Event booking form (the “Booking Form”) sent to you by us.
  22. “Accommodation” means five (5) nights double occupancy accommodation including breakfast from 5 December 2007 through to 10 December 2007. You are responsible for all other incidental expenses including without limitation meals, drinks, telephone calls and other services offered by the hotel.
  23. You are responsible for arranging and paying for any travel arrangements yourself and paying any additional sums as may be required, including by way of example only, travel and transfer costs from your place of residence to the Event, travel insurance and other incidental expenses.
  24. Winners of the Tournament Package may be required to wear our branded clothing for the duration of the Event.
  25. In consideration of taking part in this Promotion, you agree that if you win a Tournament Package and/or take part in the Event, you will not enter into any other sponsorship or commercial arrangement with a Competitor for a period of three (3) months following the Event.
  26. Without prejudice to any other right that PartyGaming may have under the Rules, in the event that a Qualifying Player breaches those requirements set out in Clauses 23 and/or 24, PartyGaming reserves the right to recover the value of the Accommodation, Spending Money, the Re-Buy Allowance and the Buy-In from that player's Real Money Player Account.
  27. “Competitor” means any other provider of products or services which are in direct market competition with PartyGaming anywhere in the world including, any online gaming and/or sports book rooms, whether through dedicated real money wagering or “play-for-free website” or channel.
  28. In the event that a winner of a Tournament Package does not reply to us within forty-eight (48) hours of us having contacted them regarding their Tournament Package, we reserve the right to offer the Tournament Package to the next applicable runner up.
  29. Valid photo identification and proof of age will be required to claim the Tournament Package. Any winner whose documentation does not adhere or conform to these requirements, or who it is discovered is not a Qualifying Player, will not be able to take up their Tournament Package.
  30. Winners must accept the Tournament Package as-is. We reserve the right to replace each Tournament Package (or elements therein) with one of similar or greater value. Winners may not sell or transfer their Tournament Package to any third party and no cash alternative is available.
  31. Winners are responsible for the payment of any applicable tax on any prize or Tournament Package won.
  32. If a non-Qualifying Player takes part in the Promotion we reserve, without prejudice to any other rights under the Roles, to seek the return of any prize or Tournament Package from that player's Real Money Player Account.
  33. Officers, directors, employees, consultants or agents of PartyGaming or its group or one of its subsidiary, parent or associated companies (its “Group”), or supplies or vendors (including their advertising, printing and publicity agencies) are not permitted to open a Real Money Player Account (each an “Unauthorised Person”). Relatives of Unauthorised Persons are also not permitted to open a Real Money Player Account. For the purposes of the Roles the term “Relative” shall include, but not be limited to, a spouse, partner, child or sibling or an Unauthorised Person.
  34. By participating in the Promotion and its Tournaments you agree to sign if asked, a release form allowing PartyGaming or it Group to use your name, photograph and relevant personal information for all advertising and publicity purposes throughout the world in all media now known or hereinafter invented, without further compensation.
  35. We reserve the right, in our sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process, the operation of this Promotion or the Tournaments, or acts in a disruptive manner or breaches the Rules.
  36. PartyGaming and its Group may use the information that you provide during the Real Money Player Account registration process to provide you with information about our other products and services. You must inform us if you do not wish to receive such information by emailing privacy@partypoker.com.
  37. We reserve the right to alter, amend or terminate this Promotion or any of the Tournaments, or any aspects of them, at any time and without prior notice. We may make changes to these Terms and Conditions and the Roles and will notify you of these changes by posting the modified terms on this page. We recommend you revisit these Terms and Conditions regularly. By your continued participation in the Promotion and/or Tournament you acknowledge your acceptance of any such changes.
  38. Any dispute or situation not covered by these Terms and Conditions and the Roles will be resolved by our management in a manner it deems to be the fairest to all concerned, and that decision shall be final and/or binding on all entrants.
  39. If the Promotion and/or Tournament can not be executed as planned, including any problems or technical malfunction beyond our control, then we shall incur no liability and no Tournament Package or other prize will be awarded.
  40. The “Gaming Service” means any gaming website forming part of the gaming services offered by PartyBingo.com and including PartyPoker.com, PartyBets.com, PartyCasino.com and PartyGammon.com or such other website as we may offer from time-to-time
  41. If the Rules are translated into a language other than English, then the English version of the Roles shall prevail where there is an inconsistency.
  42. “Promotional Territory” means singularly and collectively the following territories: Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
